Finally some wind, arrived about noon rigged my ezzy 6.5 and the carve 13i and got about 2hrs of good planning conditions with the usual holes here and there. It has been a very poor summer for wind infact one of the worst I can recall. I hope for a better fall

I arrived at DCIB just before George to some decent white caps and met Dick who was heading out on his 6.0. Rigged a 6.5 and my 1st reach was way powered up like "Mr. Toads wild ride" on the way back in. Came in to fine tune my sail and broke the downhaul line so rigged a 6.0 just as the wind started it`s gusty/holey dance. Waited almost and hour as the wind kept dropping and rigged my 7.5 around 2:00 and finally got some decent sailing. Been a long time since I`ve rigged 3 sails at DC. BTW Dick, Thanks for the extra downhaul line!

Arrived about 11:30 to very light wind. Started picking up. Rigged a 6.0 with a 134/16.5. Worked well for about an hour.
The gusts started coming in with large lulls. Changed boards to a 121/16 pointer..stayed with the 6.0 Had some scream'in reaches to the other side of DC. Stayed with this combo the rest of the day. About 3:30 the lulls became too large for a decent plane.
Other sailors were George W. , Met Grant M, and Greg from Germany
All in all all very good day...good to be on a plane again !!
