9/23 Grants - Ugh... 7.5m for a few reaches

Postby John Freed » Mon Sep 24, 2018 12:09 pm

Once again... Grants doesn't deliver on the day the front comes through. Mike E, Mike M and I arrived hoping to get a repeat of Saturday, but no go. When we arrived, the wind started to look good, and we rigged 5's and 6's, but by the time we got on the water, not much wind at all. Played around a little in light wind, finally I rigged a 7.5 for the heck of it, got a few planning reaches, but decided to bag it. So the Grants theory held true, that generally the best wind preceding a front is "the day or two before" the day the front comes through, and "the day of" is sketchy at best. Dang...
