Honking wind and honking cold. 62 when I got there and 59 when I left. Wore the leather gloves to start and felt like I got frostbite. And with the temps in the 30’s this morning the water is getting colder fast. Blowing hard already at Flying J in Evanston and windlines 21g41mph at 1:00 at the dock. Rigged the 4.7 and the 86L Sonic and went flying. For the 1st time in 2 weeks of sailing the wind was West/WSW instead of SW so more chop but the smoke blowing into Colorado instead of Wyoming. 2 trips shore to shore and found the northern 1/3 of the lake nothing but chop going both ways. Turned mid-lake from then on going upwind going north and downwind going south and smoothed the ride out considerably. Some fairly large and nicely formed waves near the island. Nice afternoon. May be the windiest September ever.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
