I was concerned when I got to Echo and it was a mirror. But I was relieved to have it blowing me around at the Flying J. The lake already had some nice windlines when I got there at 2:00. Sailed the 7.0 until 3:30 in a reasonably steady west wind with surprisingly little chop for that direction. Then it was like someone turned the wind tunnel on as the wind switched to the SW. Tail walked one round trip and gave up on the big rig. Went down 26L to the Sonic86L and down to the 6.0 figuring that would tame it. I was still totally fired up and loving it. Perfect wind direction to get rid of the chop and provide some screaming reaches. Sailed until after 5:00 when I quit exhausted. Several groups of swimmers were the only others there. They must be tougher than me as I don’t go in that water without rubber on. Great afternoon.

Thanks for the report. Sounded like the wind was worth the drive. Planning on heading over today based on the forecast.
