Warm sunny day. First hints of wind about noon. As I passed BWB, there were several kites on the grass but as yet none in the air. When I arrived at IB, the wind was about 10, gusting to 15 and appeared to be filling in. A 6.0 seemed (to me) a reasonable call. Not! Able to get up on foil for a couple of brief rides, but mostly slogged. The 7.0 worked better.

Anyway, DC is now ice free. The current water level makes for easy launching at IB; the water's edge is only about 10 yards from the end of the concrete ramp by the restrooms.
Water temp remains about 45ºF.
