Clear and windy, feeling lucky for Cinco de Mayo. The SLC airport was supposed to be 10 mph all morning so expected a gentleman's 7.0 sesh but there I was for the 1st hour in +20mph winds on my 5.2 with the outhaul maxed out. Almost more than I could handle for the 1st half hour then it settled in for smooth 5.2. It died back about 10:00 so I rigged the 6.0 and gave it some time to come back and it did. Went with the medium board and had another hour of screaming reaches. The bone-on-bone left knee did pretty good as I was able to accomplish beach-side jibes too today. I get a new knee 5/24 which will probably screw up the rest of the sailing this year. The walk to the beach isn't bad and the water is warm enough (or should I say less cold) that it doesn't get to the hands or feet. Nice morning.

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
