As usual, Craig nailed it. A feeble breeze appeared about 2. By the time I got to the beach, there were a few very small whitecaps (might caps) on the far side. Not encouraging, but hopefully enough for an occasional foiling ride with a fairly big sail and a huge (2400 cm^2) front wing. And it was. As it turned out, I probably would have done just fine with the 30" foil mast since the water level has actually come up a bit since the previous session. Water temp is also up a bit at 66ºF.

Same situation for me at DCIB but with a 30" mast. The wind was stronger when it came in so I went with the 5.0 Hydra. It would have worked with a little more wind and a slightly better technique.
