Looked like it was going to pick up late today and it did. We got there about 3:45 and left at 7:00. 5.3 conditions, my partner on a 4.7. Dropping a bit around 6:00, so a 5.7 woulda been the call. Then it picked up again, just as Scott got on the water with his 7.0 kite to foil and rip it up and put on a great show. He was still out when we pulled out at 7:00.
Water temp is great and with the 85 degree air, really nice with a thin full suit. Shorty woulda worked too. The rigging area is mowed and just perfect. The launch is an easy walk with such a full lake. Probably gotta watch out for the submerged island, but we never got near it.
4 sandhill cranes in the fields as we headed towards Evanston!
