With apologies to Trip, I went to Mona looking to hook up
(no, not that way, I'm married) with the Gear Queens. It was one of those days
you just can't buy. The lake was ours from 3 to about 7 when I left.
Started with my Hypersonic. Overpowered in the gusts, and underpowered
in the lulls, but that board just rips at extreme wind angles. Maybe
the fastest board I've ever ridden. White knuckled for an hour or so,
I came in and swapped to my RRD TT for a little less tension, and then
took a beating racing Sarah around the lake as the wind steadied up to
perfect 6.8. Came back to the beach after a couple hours
for liquid refreshment and Linda gave me a tin of smoked fish
in hot sauce to go with my beer. Sweet! We all sat on the beach drinking
and eating, as the warm sun caressed our backs and morphine-like
chemistry caressed our synapses

Days don't get much better.

:D Craigster,
No need for apologies. After grinding my teeth for a few early morning hours, I decided to keep judi company and go close Alta. Although it was mobbed, it was one of those amazing days when almost everyone you know is on the mountain. They came pouring over Baldy shytes like foam over beer. See this link for visual effect.http://www.alta.com/ Hope to see you on the water soon.
