Attention craig::::blocking IP address???

Hey Craig,
What pros/cons is there to blocking an IP address.. I am not familiar with what this actually does or does not do.. please explain.

An IP address is how one computer recognizes another across the network.
they typically look something like this: 189.191.501.2. You're probably refering to Mike's comments above. The "pro" would be that your boss
couldn't see this page, from his computer (that would keep your boss from reading the windlog when you posted about sailing during hours you were scheduled to work), but he could see it from anybody
elses computer, because it's assigned to specific hardware. The con would be if your boss was a sailing partner. ;*)

Sure, but he might block the treasury money we use to keep this site
open, and then where would we be ;*)

The command "ipconfig" would get you the IP address
on whatever system you were logged into. For a lan, to see who is connected to a server, right click on my computer, click manage, Click shared folders, and click on sessions.
