My wind meter was hovering between 18 and 21 at noon (as predicted), enough for 5.2 but I decided to go with 6.0. Glad I did as I only got 2 screaming reaches before it dropped back to 6.0/86L conditions. Oddly, it continued to drop a little and I ended up on the 112L board from 2:00 on. Tons of great shore-to-shore rides and speed runs between the island buoy and boat club. The wind was pretty west so there was plenty of Sulfur chop. I was joined by at least 3 kiters and 1 winger. Kenny had the biggest kite I have seen as far as width goes (ram air/foil ?). Doug’s kite looked like a handkerchief next to them but he was the fastest of us on his foil and seemed to be able to fly at any angle. I quit at 4:00 with back spasms (back to back 2.5 hour days, 4 days this week). Feeling my age. Wonderful day and week. Great to be sailing with Doug again.
