10/21 Pineview 12m

Postby andrewcarey44 » Mon Oct 21, 2013 7:01 pm

1st time kiting Pineview. Vern hooked me up with the info and I rolled the dice. Arrived at 1:00 to glassy water and zero wind. Just as Vern said, the Powerplant meter at the mouth of Weber Canyon turned west at 1 and about an hour later a monster wind line made its way from the dam. It went from glass to white caps in a matter of minutes. Before I could finish rigging it was full on 12m. Rode for about 3 hours in smooth and steady wind. What a great kiting spot! Thanks again for your help Vern!

Glad it was good, wish I could have gotten away from work and
enjoyed the wind and swell with you. A bit hesitant to suggest you make the drive.
Like Craig said Pineview is tough to predict, just when I think we have it figured
out I'm walking the beach and enjoying the view.

We are launching from what we call Springtown. On the north side of the lake, Turn south on the street 'Springtown or Stringtown' at the grade school and the road deadends about a mile down. Maybe 200 yard walk to the water.
