ALOHA, PIUTE?

Postby darrenfowler » Mon May 16, 2005 8:30 am

Aloha, I was wondering if anyone have any desire to sail Piute this Memorial Day? Word has it that the lake is pretty full. Pesonally, I going to wait and see what the weather brings. But I would like to know if anyone else is interested.

Aloha Buddy,

You might have to try Melinda, Fred the Shred, Tom, or Captain Kirk.
The rest of the tribe will be up in HR as usual. Why not join us this year?

How far is it from SLC?
I could use a little windsurfing week end :)

Piute is about 3 hours south of SLC. It's primitive camping on the beach with very little shade, but it is usually very uncrowded for memorial day weekend. There is'nt much of a boat ramp so there really is'nt much motor boat traffic. I have had some very good wind there in the past, But be prepared for anything from  3.0 to 7.0 conditions. Also be prepared for anything from hot sweltering weather to a possibility of a snow storm. I am still not comitted to going yet, I'm waiting on a more definitive weather forecast. :?
