6/16 Utah lake S Springs Windy

Postby Mike Egan » Sat Jun 18, 2011 9:16 pm

Showed up to no wind and in a few mins it was solid 5.8, by the time I'm rigged and ready its solid 5.2. Went out on the 5.8 for an hour or so, went to 4.6 and then 3.6. Sweet day, rode until 7:30ish, sweet ramps and swell almost landed my first back loop :))) , this is the third day I've sailed a 3.6 in Utah this spring.

That was windy.3.7 4 times for me . My ribs still feel it to. Hit the boom up high so I can still use a wast harness.

few pics from the windy north. Started off on a 5.4 and then filled in with the dust flying from Camp Williams (and the new super secret intelligence facility). Funny the things you think about when you are sailing. John asked if we had stopped at the lemonade stand. Because if you pass a lemonade stand without stopping, you go to hell. Thankfully, I bought a cookie and brownie. Trouble averted. Great session on the west. If you see the cam from Provo boat harbor, it is largely under water.
