Pretty dang windy, as John would say. Roughly 5.0 from when we arrived at 1:30 to at least 5:30 when we left. Pretty westerly with some horrendous chop on the return flight. Bouncy and wild at times. Ken holding down a 6.0 on his 85, John with a 5.2/85, DK on a 5.5. I started on 5.3 then went more comfortably down to 4.7. Everyone streaking around, with those on small boards keeping it glued down the best. North Shore veteran Doug on his 7.0 kite dancing and carving up and down the swells.
Challenging but beautiful day to be sailing in this pristine early summer session. Two white pelicans high above us doing a no-flap slow-mo waltz upwind (Gusty? Not if you're built for it...). Snow glistening on the Uintas in the distance. Still windy in Evanston at 6:30 after our liquor store run. Water quite cool, but after the first dunk non of us felt cold.
