7/19 Craig's Where to Ride
Another blast of South winds today, but the quality may be marginal. Grantsville looking good
this AM with 5.5 sail wind, and hanging in until 3 or 4 PM, but getting much gustier after Noon.
Right now Rush is marginal 8/16, but by Noon it'll be honked up for some 4.5/8M conditions with
some hairy gusts. Mona and Willard look to be gusty 6/12 from Noon until 6. Sulfur looks like
gusty 5M sail conditions Noon until 6. DC, wildly gusty with any sail/kite good or bad depending on
when and where you are from Noon until 6. UL looks to have some late afternoon gusty South wind
in the 6/12M range starting around 3 PM at Lindon and MM19 then working it's way down to SSB, and
Lincoln. Unfortunately, I think with so many T-heads and so much rain out there, that you'll be lucky
to get any comfortable planing (Rush will probably be the best), so stay safe out there and expect erratic
winds depending on where the T-heads are.
Tomorrow, unique to this year, a weak Northerly flow develops, and should provide pretty steady
8/16M winds at Rush PM.
Thursday looks more like the Summery windless pattern that drives us back to the Gorge.
