Big News today. No, I am not talking about the results of Super Tuesday or the introduction of Apple's new iPad HD. I am talking about possibly the last decent day to ride Strawberry this year. High pressure is going to build into the area after today's storm and it will wreck havoc on Strawberry's thin snowpack. I am not saying that the season is over at Strawberry because you never know, but I can tell you that after the next week of warm temps, the snowpack will be on life support at Strawberry. Expect wind in the low to mid-twenties at Strawberry today with a few lingering snow flurries. Skyline will be good today with wind in the mid to upper-teens and possible snow flurries.

Thursday is promising light north winds at Skyline, maybe Strawberry as well.

Friday is looking really iffy as high pressure builds over the region.

BTW, Skyline should fair much better over the next week of high pressure. Snow melt should be minimal due to Skyline's higher elevation, the temps should be around 10 degrees colder than Strawberry.
