Posted: Mon Jul 23, 2012 8:19 amGot the call from Billy about 3:00 that there was wind and only a few clouds in the sky. So I jammed up to DC. Billy, John and Pete were already out and a new guy Tyson was rigging about 3:40
Billy was on that carp killer of a race board he has. I grabbed my race board and Jon was on what looked like a nugget while Pete was making it work on twin tip.
Kevin and his family showed up on his boat and while we were kiting Kevin was making it happen on the air chair behind his boat! He and Billy even scored a mid-air kiter to air chair-er high five!
16 and 17 meter kites but it was good and came up enough to switch to twin tip boards.
it backed off and the others went in but there was enough for another hour or so of race board. Came off the water about 6:30. Nice way to finish off the weekend!
