Starboard made a strong showing with lots of Stand Up Paddle boards, a couple windsurf kits, and lots of team riders.
Tiesda, (Starboard Windsurf Shaper) was in town to present the new line of inflatable windsurf boards.
Yes that is right an inflatable windsurf board.
That is Dan Gavere standing on the board, to show it doesn't bend.
They role up into a backpack - weigh about 25 pounds, can be used to paddle on.
And yes according to Tiesda they can plane. Currently he holds the inflatable windsurfer speed record.
SUP is king. I decided that only windsurfers are ingenious enough to invent another sport to save their own sport.
Of course, most companies only show up to see the multitudes of Bikini clad models showing off the 2013 line up of Body Glove, Billabong and such.
So I am home for now, so where is the wind?
