First time out on my new light wind weapon. SlingShot 17M Turbine. Great light wind kite. Turns, well like a big kite, absorbs the gusts very adequately and the big +, at least for me... bar pressure is average, just like my Rallys and RPMs No arm fatigue. This kite paired with Xenon Reyo 145 made for a fun afternoon. That is, once I was able to get going out on the water. Wind was kinda weird early on (3:30ish). Seemed like a lot of South in it, hence very gusty and swirly at the launch site. Kudo's to Mark J for his help in launching. Kite did come down in no wind conditions but would float, if there was even barely enough to fly. Relaunch, in underpowered conditons, was no problem. Been a lot of changes in the characteristics of big kites over the last year or two. May thanks to Ozone for setting the standard with the Zephyr, other manufactures have had to work hard to catch up.
Lots of kiters out. On both twins and surfboards. I counted 15 up (17-12M) at one time. Wind died off about 5:30.

Was a great session. I was a little underpowered for most of the evening on my 12m Rally but there was a good 45 minutes or so that blew well enough to do some tacking.

I've been looking at the Turbine, how does it compare with the Zephyr in your opinion?
