Feels like mid Feb up on Skyline. The snowpack and coverage is deeper than I've seen it all year. The cold temps have kept all the powder in very good shape despite Thursdays direct sun. About 10 kites in the air on Thursday battling the sometimes turbulent wind. Wind smoothed as the day went on, in the afternoon I was running the 3 mile west ridge from one end to the other at full speed without changing tacks. On my 11 meter. You couldn't find a hard patch of snow if you tried. One of the highlight days of the season for me. Pretty good size crew out for midweek in April.

Had fun on the ridge with you Matt. That snow WAS good. Pretty darned gusty in spots, but the snow quality made up for it. Couple of punchisimo glides, some uphill Super G turns with overhead snowdirft shots and I went home exhausted at 530.

Thanks to Peter Miller for bringing in a destroyed kite for me.

If you haven't seen Sal's puppy, it's a welcome addition to the crew. Rizzle's dog got some freshies as well!

Overall it was a good day I left early because my arms were wore out. Seen Kevin Mower Chris Andy Sal and his new Lab
Matt Flew over me.
Happy to help Chris hope your buddy learning how to kite will help to replace LE kiting is fun but can be expensive at times.
