It was a weird day at Lindon. The wind was good for mid to big kite most of the day. I arrived at 3:00 to find sup-10 mph wind. But my 12 meter worked. But by around 4, the wind started to pick up and it was hard to hold down the 12. I came in was thinking about pumping a 9. The wind keeps cranking up. So, I pumped a 7 instead. Never quite able to get going with the 7 unless a gust came through. The gusts did come through often and it got pretty silly by 5. By then, we all lost interest in riding as it was just too dangerous.

Weird day!

I tried 9, and almost had a make-out session with the pavilion trying to get upwind into the water when a nasty gust blew through. Tyler caught my harness immediately before i was about to eject and i put her down. Even though the wind was extra nasty yesterday making things more difficult than normal, lindon is a sketchy launch due to the giant steel and concrete obstacles that must be passed to get to water. Also there is not really a westerly exit anymore so you have to pull your kite upwind quite some distance to enter deep enough water to ride out. ( Just for anyone who is unfamiliar and thinking about trying this site). Also when tyler says " thats a full on c-kite, so get that thing to the water NOW!" You should do it without delay...
