Took a trip to Israel last week. Not really a kiting trip, visiting family there but of course I dragged some gear along. Got two 10m days at Sea of Galilee, which is called Lake Kinneret, locally, and a 17m day in the city of Haifa, on the Mediteranean. Summertime is the windy season at Kinneret. Lit 10m the first day, well powered 10m the second day. Local kiters are a bit crazy, fast and loose - Don, you'd do just great there. people throwing tricks right on the shore, oblivious to people on the beach and you can throw right-of-way rules out the window. seems like the tricks of choice there are board-offs, which I don't see a lot around here - probably because we mostly wear booties. Mediterranean coast wind season is spring and fall, with light winds in the summer. Got one day there on the 17m. pics to follow.

Cool, Jason, first ever Israel post on the UWA!

Sounds great. "...dragged some gear along.", means bringing all your kites (10m-17m) and boards? Makes us poleboarders jealous, this would be inconceivable for windsurfing gear. Good work! Will enjoy the pics when you get 'em up.

c'mon, I left the 7m home, and only took one board...

Sea of Galilee. Looks a lot like Mohave.
