2/7 Willard 13M kite, skis
Posted: Fri Feb 07, 2014 11:20 pmI decided to give Willard a try again after work. The wind had been blowing all afternoon but I didn't get there till almost 5pm. The snow would have probably been a lot better around noon. Anyway, I went for a quick ride on about 4 inches of new heavy snow sitting on very slick ice. If I put too much edge on the skis, I would cut through to the slick ice. But it was a good time anyway as well as close and convenient. There were a few ice fishing tents on the lake which gave me the warm fuzzy that the ice was thick enough. If I would have brought my kite board, I could have kited in the harbor.
