what an epic day!! Some of the biggest waves I personally have seen on the lake. And my biggest airs this year. I love that big brown stinky lake.
warm sailing on the lake and cold air the derig in.
can't wait for the next one. This is the kind of session that makes me skip work next time it blows.

As cold as it was Saturday morning when I walked outside and watched my breath drift away in front of me, the thought of windsurfing seemed unlikely... After debating for hours between getting some things done at home and toughing out the cold air... It was finally decided at around 3PM that we'd go tough it out... My drysuit has finally given up the ghost so all I had was my full length wetsuit... I didn't expect 4 straight hours of 4.2 sailing, half of which was overpowered perfectly!
What an incredible day! The ramps were debatably larger than I've ever seen. The chop hoppers even had ramps... I can't remember a more productive time on Utah lake... Because of the depth this year, I think the swell can get a little bigger and cleaner... Whatever the case, the water was so warm... My hands never got cold once!
I think that the really cold front stayed parked over in the rush valley or something because the meters there were showing temps in the 40's. It didn't feel like the airtemp at Utah lake went below 55! The water is a bathtub... Without necessarily the clean!
Great "epic" session!!!
