7/15 Fri. Sulphur 7.5, 105
Dead on arrival at 1:00. But Craig called it right-on as always. Shortly it was 7.5 and stayed there, more or less, generally more, for the next 3 hours. It was mostly planable, with some slogs, and some white-knuckled grimacing as the wind clocked between SW and NW, depending on whether we had virga, stratus clouds or seagulls overhead. The lake is lush, water may even be warmer than G'ville, so not bad at all. Only one or two motorboats, mostly drifting around. Just a few of us on the water, me and J.J. from Park City on his 8.0 and Techno. Fun day, but geez, it's exhausting to sail in conditions that change every 10 minutes or less! Good workout followed by massive shopping at one of Evanston's fine bottle emporiums, and protein-replacement Mexican food at Don Pedro's.
