Arrived @ 7.40 to nada. Josh, Bob Clark, Greg Glazier & Duane Bush also soon arrived. No wind until about 9:00 which Duane B caught on his 1st reach out. He got maybe 45 min of absolute powered sailing. Soon followed by Josh who got about 15 min and me who got one slogging reach before it died off around 10:00. About 10:45 got a sucker wind-line and one screaming reach and jibe and it turned off again. Josh tore down and I took off harness etc getting ready to quit when about 11:00 the real South kicked in. Gusty and dusty with anything from a 5.3 to a 6.0 working more or less for the next hour. A total arm stretcher with some serious speed runs. Windsurfers had fun but Greg Glazier ruled GV today on his foil. Back and forth, upwind, downwind he is the Utah Zen-master of foiling. A pleasure to watch. He must have had 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Forgot to mention - lots of cloud cover which may have shut down early morning wind.

Similar situation at DC; a few juicy gusts mid-morning followed by a rapid die off. It may have come back later, but by then I was long gone. George also participated.

Jim, Great to see a post from you. I assume you have been sailing at DC but no one seems to post.
