Hey Jake,
Take a look back at a discussion on July 10th. There are some write-ups on Fontanelle and Big Sandy, including one of my long-winded ones. You can do a Search for "Fontanelle" and it'll pop up. Have fun!

You won't see it from the main road that runs through Farson. I think there's a modest sign. Turn east and it's about a mile or so off the road. Wonderful place.

South Pass,
between Lander and Farson,,
Could have some major snowkiting potential,,
if the snow isn't blown off the mountain..
To damn far,,
hence the name Farson..
Kinda like Wayan
the small 1 horse town north of Soda Springs, ID,,,
Wayan the hell out there.

Jake-
I would love to go up there and kite. I am familiar with Fontanelle, Big Sandy, and all the lakes in between. Who are you going with? We can stay in my family cabin in Bondurant which is only an hour from Big Sandy. This is also a snowkite mecca that the Jackson riders don't frequent, to my knowledge.
Brian- I met you in the gorge a couple summers ago and understand you still summer there? Have you rode Big Sandy before? Can you fill us in on the sessions the Jackson crew has been getting there this summer(ie- wind consistency, wind indicators, weather stations etc.). Thanks Brian.

Farson is no one horse town anymore. Infact it has grown into a many coal bed methane rough neck kind of town! But I hear the icream shop is still there.

I don't usually take days off for PV,,
to many skunks over the years.
maybe in the fall, the FIRST clear/thermal day after a front/storm may be worth it, but like I told you Sunday, don't blame me for skunkage)
