Billy, Kody, Scott, Jesse, and I showed up to Skyline today. We all rode Waroo kites ranging from 16m to 3m kites. Scott was learning how to snowkite. He was able snowkite even though it was only his second time out. He told me he loves it. Jesse was trying out the snowkiteboard to see how it feels compared to the snowkiteski. He said the snowkiteboard feels a lot more natural then his skis. I flew the new top secret kite from Best today. A bigger kite would have been better but I only had one size. I had to test out this size kite to make sure it was ready for next year. It's going to be the next AWESOME kite for snowkiting. I had a lot fun doing some gliding, kiteloops and unhook stuffs. The new 07 Waroo Best Bar is a SWEET bar to have for snowkiting. The stopper ball is great for kitelooping up the hill. I can push it up with the bar instead of pulling the bar down and push it up with my hand. You have check it out. It a sweet set up.
The snow conditions at Skyline are still rideable and more snow coming tonight, I hope.
Billy did some nice gliding today and the last glide he did was huge. You had to see it. It's his first year snowkiting and he's already gliding. He has my respect.
Kenny did a huge glide off of Bosco Hill. It was a sick glide.
Charles came up to me and said," Dude, snowkiting is AWESOME. I can't believe I'm missing out. " I guess has to do with the Waroo kites he has.
Pray for snow

Thanks to all the guys for their help on Sat. Jesse was the man out there on his 16 I was cranking in the depower on the 12 at the top of the hill.
I have to thank Jacob for the "demos" and gliding tips and Kenny for the "free show" and tips on Gliding. What a great ride. Drifting down Boscos...
I am starting to get the hang of the bows. Of course with out Jake's lonner kites and boards none of us could have ridden. Thanks!!
I did learn that I need to go out in a Medow and learn to kiteloop. If you try your first one drifting backwards down boscos and your kite hits the ground you just fall from the sky, looking down at your kite.... I am a bit sore today. But went snowboarding with the misses. I would have prefered to go kiting though!!

Jacob,
I can't wait to try your new kites, boards, and the 07 bar. I wish I could have hung around longer, but I promised my wife that I would do some Christmas shopping in the afternoon.
Charles, I am glad that you are starting to catch the snowkiting bug.
Bordy, as I recall you got into this sport primarily to ride on the snow. I am curious if you have tried the hardboots yet while snowkiting.
It was an awesome day on Saturday. The weather was perfect, the snow was decent. I bet it will be awesome by Wednesday. What impressed me is that the N. CA people didn't all ride in the Meadow like they did last year. They were up on the ridge and all over the place. It sure was nice to have everyone spread out.
It looks like we are off to the start of another great snowkiting season!

Kenny,
I have only had four days on snow, two on terrain so far(both at skyline) and am still trying to figure it out.
I am not sure if hardboots are the way to go but will sure try them at some point. If you would like to try some let me know, I have a demo fleet of sizes and binders..
I really like the snow. I really got into kiting from being a poor sailer/boardsport guy who knows wind is free, but am really stoked on the snow aspect. The terrain is much more exciting then the water!! But after watching you ride Utah lake swell one day (When you were hanging on to a twelve) I really want to try wave riding!! My wife and I spent Thanksgiving in San Diego surfing. I was hoping to kite in the surf but got skunked...
Now I get to carve the frozen wave!!! I would rather ride a harness then a chair lift or even worse hike all day....
I cant wait to see you guys speedfly!!!!
