Monte Cristo 12/17 The wind gods were laughing
Posted: Sun Dec 17, 2006 3:46 pmArrived at Monte Cristo, turned left on the road heading north. It looked like we could drive out to kite, so we did. Ended up getting stuck in a snow drift. Took an hour + to dig the cruiser out. The winds that seemed decent when we arrived where now on and off. We set up kites and sat around for another 1/2 hour or so.
There is enough snow to kite and snowmobile, but lots of bushes and possibly some rocks. We really got screwed up here in norther U this last week. All the snow fell around the salt lake area. Powder mountain and here was mostly missed by the storm.
