Pineview produced the goods again. I heard that there was a decent East wind this morning. I didn't get up there until 2 in the afternoon. My wife flew a 3M trainer and had a great time riding for several hours. I flew my 17M Silver Arrow. The wind kept switching directions at first, but filled in nicely between 3:30 and 4 and then was very steady at around 15 mph. The surface is excellent with packed powder over the ice. It was nice getting out of the inversion and enjoying bluebird skies. Today was my wife's first day snowkiting and she had a ball, so that made me a happy man!

Marty,
How strong were the morning easterlies? I may have to do some early morning sessions if the inversion stays in place.

I've never seen them be anything but light.
Consistant, but light.
