3/23: Burmester, 12m Phantom -> Sludgies
Well, after hearing that Burm was drying out, I thought I'd try and satisfy an itch with all the wind that has been coming through. Arrived at 1PM to a light-ish, but steady wind from the NW. Set up the Phantom and got to rolling.
Well, sorta. The surface is still at least one good, warm week away from being totally set up for the season. It's pretty much wet everywhere. So, that means that it's slimy, and eats tires in places. I landed one of my small jumps only to have the board stop in place where I came down. The surface was slow, too.
Mediocre riding, all together, but at least I logged some good milage. I'm still impressed at how much surface there is to ride out there; probably cruised over a mile out on my first tack and hand plenty of room left to keep going. Wind dropped after a little while. Didn't bother setting up the 16 to make use of it. I'll head back out after NABX, and maybe it'll be good by then.
