Met up with Marty and Doug at Rush around 11:00 Strong N 25-35 with Devil Gusts out of the W to 45+, Cold mid 40's, Thought maybe ULLB, As we turned towards Cedar Valley ran into a Road Bike race, big set up at 5 Mile Pass, COLD< WINDY< RAINY and they think we are crazy. Arrived ULLB to 25-35 high 40's, then it backed off a little, the picked back up just as they launched. Marty 11 M (OP'D), Doug 9M (9 just right) went out, I whimped out and was their Kite Boy/photographer. They had a warm(they said) fun (I saw it) session, I should have gone out, oh well someone had provide ground support. Drove home by DC, isolated areas small caps going towrds the Dam, but not filled in or steady, Jordenell looked about the same, temps in the mid 40's. Nice warm tour in the car.

Jon.
Thanks for the pics. and the launch. (kite bitch)
I wasn't only warm, I put to much under my drysuit,,
I was over heating.
Doug and I both had family duties early, so it was short,
but oh so sweeeeeet....

Windsurfers missed another day at Lincoln beach.
I'm talking about the swell that builds at the south end of the lake.
It's not the rollers that are like Rocky point,,
These are very carveable/rideable,, and killer ramps for jumping.
(the pics are behind the jetty, in the flat water, not in the swell)

Should have called me

In the morning it was a bit cold, rainy, and maybe too windy so I held off but in the afternoon it started looking good so I called around looking for someone to brave the cold with me. When it is that cold and that windy it is always nice to have someone around just in case. Anyway I couldn't find anyone willing to head out so I passed. Next time call me, you know I can run out there in 20-30 minutes.

What about today. I am ready is anyone thinking Lincoln? If so when?

Jon, we must be getting old; I wimped out too! I was interested to read your observations on the conditions on DC; judging from what I was seeing on my anemometer, I would have guessed that the wind was reasonably steady, but North wind frequently looks better on my meter than on DC.
