Opened up the Memorial Day weekend, by sailing a morning session with a couple of local dignitaries, the Grantsvlle Mayor... Ken Onstott, and the Grantsville Constable... George Ward. We arrived a little late, and didn't hit the water until about 8:15ish, the Mayor rigged a 6.0, I was on a 5.7, and the Constable showed up a few minutes later and rigged a 6.5. I struggled somewhat on the 85 liter board, so I upgraded to a 109 liter about the time the wind kicked in. Enjoyed a nice 2 hours on a typical Grantsville Chamber of Commerce morning. Only problem was the wind seemed to die a little early, as we were pretty much off the water by 10:00, although the Mayor rigged a 6.9 and milked a few more rides before it really tailed off. Hopefully a windy weekend is ahead....

Jim got a few runs early on a 6.6, then Dave O, Duane and myself killed it with 8.5 sails. No clouds but the weak North push must have cancelled the even weaker S/SW. Sulphur might have been the smart call.
