Wow!! I was surprised to see so few people turn out at Sulfur Creek on Sunday. There were only 4 or 5 of us. The wind had started before 11:00 am when the first person, Bob, arrived and continued until we all left. Bob started on a 7.6m at 11:00 until I arrived. I rigged a 6.8m and sailed it for a while, but was soon headed to shore to rig down. I sailed out on a 6.2m, but didn't make it but about 100 yards before I was pushed mast first into the lake by an overpowering gust. I tried one more time but got the same treatment, so I headed back to shore to down rig once again, this time to a 5.7m which matched the sail sizes of John Freed and Ken Onstott. John and I left the lake about 7:30 with plenty of smile on our faces. Of course, Ken, who left just before us did, too, but he had cheated and sailed Grantsville earlier in the morning. A lot of people sure missed some good sailing!!
