Judi and I were flying back from Tucson yesterday at about 12:30. As luck would have it, we passed over the west side of Utah Lake at about 15,000 feet. Judi had the window and I leaned over to see if we could see any ripples...wait there's Pelican Bay and there are two sailors ripping.
An hour and a half later, we arrived to find Stu, Tom, Jim, Mark, Chuck, Erik and assorted others working the waves.
We rigged 4.5-5.4 for a brief session before it started to die off a little and rigged up to 6.5 so we could get over powered while Stu continued on his 5.2. It sounded like the earlier session was superior but were luck to arrive late and still manage to get some rides.
I was sorry to miss the Summer Games on Saturday after seeing the pictures in the Des News site. Great work Josh et all!
