Gorge Trip.....Sailed every day but 1. Couple of light days on the 6.2 and 106 ltr board, All other days on 75ltr board, and 5.4 or smaller. It was our first time sailing @ Rosevelt, and some of the best wind that we got. As we headed into the Gorge area on the 16th, we knew that the wind would be out to the east, so we decided to camp at Rosevelt the first couple of days, so did everyone else in town. We got the last spot in the parking lot to park the trailer.

We had 2 days of really good 4.2 wind, and what a nice launch! We did not have many groceries with us, and had to talk a local friend into coming out to sail with us, and bring us some food. We later found out that the small local store, had steaks, chicken and such.....you just had to ask for it. The hot dogs and frozen pizza did not cut it. Well next time we will know.

Sailed on the 3rd @ the Hackery, with Goudie, Trip, Judy, Duanne, and Ivan. Was a lot of fun, wind was very gusty and holey, but we made the best of what was there. Wind pattern in the Gorge so far has been kind of weak, and you need to be in the right place at the right time. So sites seemed a bit crowded. Doug's parking turned out ok....maybe a 3rd less on the west end....and a long walk, unless you get there early.

Over all a great sailing adventure....I can't wait to go back.
