Holy crap! Pulled in around 10:15 to find Jonathan leaving. He had been on a 6.2 when the wind really started howling and it looked like he put his head through a panel. I rigged small and most of the time got blow off the water. A few lulls in between that made it hard on the small gear. I don't think Grantsville is quite as steady with the water lower. I used a hood and booties which made the water seem cool, but not cold. Still it worked me over and being alone I pulled out after about 1.5 hours. Hell of a good morning with X rated rides.

Shoot... Tom... I hope you got it today...
I put all my money on tomorrow (Thursday)... Was up at 5:30AM looking at Grants but the forecast was pointing to WINDY everywhere tomorrow... But, it looks like it was good at Grantsville this morning...
I hope it didn't come through too early! If it's good tomorrow I'll do the world tour!

I think I need to remind myself of the number one rule - don't leave wind to find wind. All Fall I have been trying to sessions in other than optimal spots and leaving the good wind at Grants. Maybe tomorrow I will leave the good wind to Tom and head somewhere else to clean up trash on the windless beach.
