Arrived around 4:30 It was very light SSW but signs of a windline. Started to rig and a couple pole boarders showed up rigged but never rode. It picked up and I was able to ride for a good half hour or more. Pretty light but able to stay up wind with a few jumps now and again. Rode to the center of the lake and met up with a big sailboat to do a bit of showing off. Rode back toward shore and did a big jump and ended up hindenburging the kite. The it was too light to relaunch. there was a bride on the beach getting photos done as I dragged kite to shore. Then met a new kiter sorry forgot name allready as I was getting eaten alive by the mosquitoes. Thought we were through with them but not. This was the most bites I have had in a long time and they were leaving big welts no little bumps. By the time I pulled into West Jordan The wind was cranking from the North.

I was one of the windsurfers that helped you launch your kite. Both of us were very amazed that you were able to get such good rides in very minimal wind. We could barely even slog (wind reading at Provo were 10mph - and I think it was mostly less at Lindon) The ozone kite must be a very good light-wind kite. I might have to look at getting one.

I was the new kiter. Would like to have given it a go but the wind surfers said the water was tolerable with a full wet suit, I only had a shorty. Even for a novice rider, I am getting to be an experienced spectator and Mark looked pretty good out there. If I wasn't still in my work clothes I would have tromped out there and helped relaunch.

well, i'm glad i decided to stay home and try and sell my GF's car. i think we have a buyer, so new kite equip here i come! oh, wait. i have a wedding to pay for and a wife to put through school. well, maybe i'll be that guy that builds his own gear that dosen't work and try and "Demo" everybody else's gear.

I think the wind is better off the shore and a bit further from where you windsurfers tried also up a bit higher. I think the way the hill rises to the road makes it very light in the beach area. As for the ozone being good for light winds it is allright as long as you keep it in the air. I had enough to ride but just barely enough not to relaunch. Still love the 13m ozone as a very good all around kite with huge range.
