Met up with Kenny for a morning session (early for me, late for KMan) around 9:30 at the Home Depot Fields, good wind 15-20 but less snow cover than ideal, rocks to be hit on every reach. Also THANKS to whom ever placed the pallet steps over the fence. If it was one of us, good job, if it was done by the land owner, even better. The lama coral is gone. Anyone want to take credit?
Moved over to PC Fields, lighter winds, 10-15, much better snow cover. Kenny even ventured into the next field to the South. Left around noon as winds were backing off. No storm yet, but Radar shows it's on the way.
Merry Christmas to all, see you at Skyline on Wed

It was windy out in Draper and I thought PC would be good. I kept checking the Mesowest at Silvercreek Junction and it showed nothing happening, especially in the morning. I would have loved to have gotten out today, dang! Is the windmeter down or messed up? The mesowest shows it picked up to around 30 mph in the afternoon when you said the wind was dying off.

Mike,
I, like you, was watching the Silver Summit meter and didn't see much Monday am, around 9 Kenny called and said it was blowing 15+ at the Home Depot fields, My home meter was showing 2-3 as was the Silver Summit meter??????, It did back off around noon and as you noticed later on, in the early-mid pm it was a total white out, front came thru, I had gusts over 35 at my station around 3-4 pm. I wish there was a meter at the UDOT Sheds on the frontage road, this would be spot on for the wind at our fields.

The credit for the stairs goes to Mike McIntosh. He put them in on Friday. I asked him if he had just read the posts about the fence and he said no, he just thought the fence needed stairs.
That place is too windy for it's own good. There would be more snow on the ground if it wasn't so windy. I always thought it would have been great if they built a dam over by I-80 and flooded the valley there.

Wow, maybe I do? My face was so cold that day I could barely talk. So maybe my brain wasn't working so great either. Of course at my age my memory isn't that great in warm weather either.
