Arrived to light wind. Doc. Jon was out nursing a 13M. I put up the SA2 as Jon decided to call it a day. I decided to go downwind and test the butter. Saw lots of cute baby birds while I was down there. Of course, the wind picked up to the point that it was difficult to hang on, so I put down the SA2 and pumped up the Waroo. Had some nice rides. Water is cold, but there is plenty of water to ride. By the looks of the nearby mountains, there is more water available, whether or not it will ever make it to the lake is another story. I imagine there is enough water now to last at least until June. The fence has definitely got to go, but it is easy to avoid until it is removed.

K-Man definitely got the 'go big or maybe go home' award, yesterday. I manged to do 'controlled' downwinders, ie how far do you want to walk back, but did stay on a plane most of the time. No drop from the sky, over your head lulls, but several landings on the rear edge. In shallow water, just pulling the front lines works well to relaunch, in deeper water, it would have probably got swamped. When it picked up, it was fun, however, for most of the time on the 13M, it was an effort, but the speed of the new kites makes it much easier, to nurse it. While K-Man stayed upwind, I got to see more of Rush Lakes' scenic shore line. Not too cold, around 44, with the proper gear. Thigh deep water, soft muddy bottom. Beautiful Blue Bird Sky all day. All in all not a bad day (my second) on the pond.

Ya I really hope we get more water in there. It will be interesting to see if it comes up more. Another foot or even six inches will go a long way. We had more water last year and it was a dismall snow year.
