Tuesday was so good, that we came back. We're always coming back. Came early, realizing that the colder temps bring stronger winds and faster snow. Mo and Heather joined Rob and I for a good morning session... 8am to 1pm. Snow was fast, soft and began to warm up with the bright sun. Wind kept temps down and goretex on. Mo flew a 10 Manta, Heather a 12 Manta, Rob on a 13 Frenzy proto and I flew a 14 meter Light.

Winds were South, and made any south facing slope very 'lifty'. Rob had a batch of proto Snow-Kiteboards, apparently he's been working on it in secret, and this round of boards were simply amazing right out of the box. They do not ride like a snowboard, more like a kiteboard, cranked upwind, and had a much wider edge range than typical snowboards that I am used to. After several runs on the new decks all of us were stoked on how fun the boards were to ride and how easy they made transitions. Techy: less side cut, proper stiffness, uniquely shaped nose for smooth edging. Finally a Snowkiteboard, not just a 'kite'snowboard. I would still keep a 180 cm board around for the Utah Powder days, but thats me... I also keep a picklefork around and I like swallowtails.

Will we have an epic June Snowkite session.... who knows?

Windzup,
Brian
