SW wind started early (about 9) peaked at 10 and continued through most of the afternoon. Biggest "crowd " so far this season, consisting of me, Manny Pons, Dave O, John Freed and Kevin Simmons. Billy stopped to say "hi" on his way to Lindon. Gusty but enjoyable. Water temp about 56.

yes very fun to see all these people. Rigged my biggest sail at the time, a 6.2 with the 125l sumo and got my share of fun rides. Not a bad way to start my deer creek season :)

I got there about 2pm after almost turning around when I got to the dam and saw very little wind. I'm glad I didn't as it turned out to be a good session--and the first of the year for me. I really only had one reach at the end where I slogged a good part of the way. I think I was just lucky with my timing for my reaches as a few times going out I was on a plane and Jim was slogging coming in.

I wore a 4.3 and booties. The water was cold when I first walked out but after that I adjusted and was plenty comfortable. I didn't and wouldn't want to spend a lot of time in the water though.

Jim's wind meter on the beach was reading an ave of 14 with a gust to 28. I sure miss the DC windtalker.
