Arrived at 11:30 to a few windcaps, soon thereafter Ken Onstott and Bob Hansen showed up. Sailed a 7.5 until about 3:30 when I had to take off. Not a bad afternoon, wind was off and on, however well worth the trip. At times the wind would come through and temp us to rig down, however it never did quite get us over the hump. A little slogging, but what the heck. Water temp not bad. Bob sailed Friday (6.0), and is up there camping, sailing again today.

It is always great to be sailing with John and Bob. John hit the water in a hurry but Bob and I waited for it to fill in a little. When it finally steadied in it was some great fun. There were windlines which were 6.0 but my 7.0 and a small fin were the best combo for the overall conditions. It was a little too warm in the steamer but an occasional drop in the water solved that. The water wasn't bad either as my feet never complained. Sulfur is always a great time when you can blast from one shore to the other. I had to quit at 5:00 but there were still nice windlines coming through. I was jealous that Bob was headed to the mountains but I was rewarded by a house full of grandkids when I got home. We camped at Sulfur last Father's Day and got 2 days of 5.0 conditions. This year is being a little more difficult. But Sulfur delivers again on a day when Grants sucked.
