Yet another stellar DC day. After a light nite of BBQ and Beers at my house. We where stoked when the wind came up and blew for hours. Some of us went up to IB and visited the windsurfers and cat sailers. Very fun. So many people stoked to see us kite, everything from boats yelling question at us to lots of people stoping, taking pictures, and asking how to learn. I think I said Utah Windriders.org and Kite Utah all day. I think Kites out numbered evey other sailing vessel. I got teary eyed.

Thanks again to all the folks who brought food, beer and the skills to make meals to my punk arse while my wife is gone!

It was a great Kite Staycation for us all.....

Fun day and fun weekend for sure! I had a guy ask me about how to get into kiting. He thought we were some kind of traveling kiteboarding show that was touring the country. I thought that was pretty funny. Lots of spectators in the parking area oohing and ahhing when Bordy and Spencer were jumping.
I sure do like this launch. I hope they take their time fixing the dam.

Awesome weekend scootin' on Deer Creek. After all the bad press about kiten' DC, I didn't think I'd have such a hard time finding a parking spot. First time on the lake when it wasn't frozen but just as much fun. Thanks Tjaques for giving me the clue on self launching. Made everything all come together.

That was a great weekend. Stunning views, clear water, good wind, and great company. Wore board shorts and a 1mm top while others still had their dry suits on. I was only slightly chilly after 3.5 hrs of kiting. A friend of one of the kiters flashed a low flying helicopter while we were out swimming and the thing took a hard left and circled back for another pass! That probably cost him $50. That was quite entertaining. I'm amazed at how well the new kites and specifically new boards have allowed us to kite in such low winds. Fully planing in sub to slightly capping conditions with jumps to be had when the wind notches up. It was really a sight to see 9 kites in the air under Mt. Timpanogos. Thanks Billy, for the hospitality. It was a great staycation!
