Was very lucky today to recieve an invite to kite by Pete today. We met at Smiths(Saratoga Springs) and jogged over to one of my great local kite spots below the ARMY bace; about a quarter mile south of the windmills (point of the mountain). Wind was super clean, maby pushing 25mph at times. We shared Pete's 10m Bul. making 5-8 minute runs a piece. Never had a dull moment, great, edgable snow which seemed to replenish itself on every reach. Thanks Pete, you made my week :))

I work at Thanksgiving point and have been looking at this area to kite. I know the landowner's name and have been trying to catch him to ask if I could ride there. The windmills are good indicators and I'd like to get a lunch session there. Glad to hear others have had luck there.

I rode this spot last year a few times. I had asked to ride the field by the nearest home, who assured me that the owner would not mind. I know that is not right , but the location is awesome.
If someone knows the owner or can find him/her, it would get some of our local crowd kiting with very little travel. This is a fantastic place to ride, unfortunately it has no gradient or obsticles, unless you are willing to venture onto the golf course, like I would ever do that sort of thing ;))
