I got my first taste of the real wind in high desert. Now I know why most of you are talking about 4.5 and 3.7. Needless to say, I was way over-powered and had to do the walk of shame all over again. I thought I left it in Delaware long time ago. . .
Sarah and Linda had some good time though. So, Mother Nature's gift did go wasted. It actually got stronger when we left!

Mona was a very good call! We arrived about 1pm to lot's of wind, a bit of sun, and lot's of dust in the air. We were joined by the ilusive Gunnars Berzins, who has not sailed in Utah in quite a while, and Leo came to check out Mona for the first time. I ended up on a 5.3 and 95ltr board, Linda used her 4.7 and Gunnars a 5.0. It was a really fun afternoon, with very few lulls. Almost constant planeage. A bit OP'd at times, but mostly about right. Leo had a bit too much board, and rig, but I bet he'll be ready for more wind next time. it was nice to get that first good day on the water, and try to get the sea legs back. It was still blowing when we left.
