5/10 & 11, Kite Beach, Maui
Posted: Sun May 10, 2009 11:40 pmWell, been here 2 days so far and kited both days on the 10m nemi. Winds low 20's at the mid-day peak today. Yesterday came straight from the airport, so only had a late afternoon session, wind around 20. Nice riding in boardshorts again. Water is pretty choppy, but some nice ramps in there too. Kinda cool seeing 3 ft diameter turtles out there - a lot of them. Lynn had some short rides today on the 7. Still working on finding the balance point. She's close. Ran into a local guy that I met a few months ago at strawbs when he was trying out snow kiting for the first time.
