It was a wild 7.0 session from 7:30 to 9:00 in mid 20’s wind, still some +20 windlines coming through until 9:30, then it started dieing just as I though it would peak. I wished I had started on the 6.0 but the hot red S-type Starboard yielded lots of screaming reaches on the bigger sail. What a Grantsville gift on what was supposed to be a wind-drought weekend. I saw it coming up at 2:00 and saw it starting to rip at 5:00 (one of the few advantages of getting older). Still, since every dawn patrol this year has been a failure, it was 6:00 before I flogged myself out of the house. That cost me another hour of great sailing. I left in a hurry after the sesh as the din of the 4 wheelers, blaring music, and running generators was deafening. What happened to leaving it all behind and enjoying the peace and quiet of nature.
