Left for mm 19 at 1:00pm with provo reading in the 30's. Got there and the wind was about 8mph. To the west was what looked like a clouds and rain or dust. Well it was dust. With in seconds it was white capping and I hurried and rigged a 5.2 and 95 liters knowing it was coming up fast. Well powerd for 30 mins then it back down and alittle bit, put on a bigger fin and Jim showed up. Good for another 1hr then it came on. Drop down to 80 liters and gutted the 5.2, it worked for about another 1hr and half. Went to the 4.6 and no more gas in the tank and got hammered. Josh showed up around 6 and things were going off, 3.7 to 4.7. Super sick day 4hrs or so of 5.2 and under sailing and left 3.6 to 4.0 conditions at 7pm. I may go to G-ville tomorrow if I can move.

The guys were standing on the shore looking exhausted when I showed up. Mike on his 4.6 and Jim on his 4.7. I decided to rig a 4.7 even though smaller was suggested. After 4 reaches I had to come in and rig my 4.1. That ended up perfect for me, and I am fat, so lite weights would have been on 3.5. I sailed for about 2 hours, and came in when the lulls were longer then the gusts.

It seems that almost every time I come back from mm19 I say those were the biggest waves I have seen yet. And once again, I have to say those were some big waves. Many of the waves were crashing. And we were getting a lot of pyramids, or double stacked waves. lots of big floaty jumps. at least they were big for me.

Classic MM19 - drunk atv'ers, shot gun shell beach, fire pits, campers circling their wagons firing off the occasional 5.56 , and swarms of mosquitoes hiding from the wind.

Hopefully I can hit the repeat button and do it again.

Was on a flight landing at SLC International in turbulent turbulent wind at around 6... I will repent for missing this one... It looked great! )(*%)(*&@&!

PS... I'm off to the Utah Lake Festival... Hope to see some others there with some beginner stuff... Probably by the rental shack but just look for Lynn Steven's flag.
